Kupwara 11 April (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Apni party, President, Altaf Bukhari said that he is ready to accept Apni Party as B -team of BJP ,if representing aspirations of People makes  it so.

Talking to Kashmir News Service Correspondent on sidelines of Workers convention in Kupwara, he said, " The Leaders of Regional Parties have always fooled the People of Kashmir over pretext of restoring article 370 and they continue to do so in future.

Taking a dig on the political parties who connect restoration of Article 370 & 35-A with the conduct of recently held district development council elections in J&K, Bukhari said that Apni Party is committed to truthful politics and will always refrain from emotive and hollow sloganeering.

"Our party does not believe in double speak. Since the inception of our party we have called a spade and spade. We don’t believe in ambiguity and have desisted from obscure politics”, he added.

Bukhari also said " I wonder what makes   NC PDP and others to call Apni Party as BJP's B-Team."

Replying question over restoration of Article 370 and 35A, Bukhari said that no elections in Jammu and Kashmir would be referendum on restoration of J&K’s special status.

"we have always reiterated that abrogation of Articles 370, 35-A can be undone only by two institutions-Parliament or the Supreme Court. In Parliament we don’t have the requisite numbers and regarding Apex Court, we can only hope and pray that its verdict be as per the aspirations of people of J&K", he added.

On being asked about the ED Summons Mehbooba Mufti's mother, he said that it is very unfortunate, "I too can feel bad if anyone will summon my mother. But it is law which everyone has to abide by it and follow it."

Replying over indo-Pak relations coming closer, he said that it is a welcoming step and let peace prevail here.

"It will not matter if the two neighbouring countries will come close without Prevailing peace here", he added.(KNS)
