Re-registration for road tax, road safety, nothing new in it, law already enforced everywhere in rest of India :RTO Kashmir 

Srinagar March, 30 (KNS): Regional Transport Officer Kashmir has said that Re-registration of vehicles is must if the vehicle purchased in one state or union territory continues to stay in any other state for more than six months stating therein that NOC for running the vehicle in any other state or university union territory  is just for six months after which Re-registration becomes mandatory as per the Central government's motor vehicles act. 


Talking to KNS RTO Kashmir said there is nothing new in the order asking for Re-registration of vehicles purchased outside Jammu and Kashmir as this policy is already in force in all other union territories and states of the country.

He said vehicles purchased outside Jammu and Kashmir can be run in Jammu and kashmir on NOC of the concerned state /Union Territory for only six months after which Re-registration is must and action will be taken against any one violating the law.(KNS)
