Srinagar, May 31 (KNS): Complaining of scarcity of ration in government depots, residents of Madwa area of Wadwan Wednesday said it was hard for them to procure essentials like rice, flour and sugar from the open market especially in the month of Ramadhan.
According to KNS correspondent, the residents said that the depots in entire area are virtually empty from last few months and the supposed beneficiaries are forced to buy the commodities from the market at exorbitant prices.
The residents said that the Tehsil remained inaccessible for the six months in the inter period but unfortunately the government failed to make the essentials items available for the residents here.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“We fail to understand why the supplies have not been dumped in our depots,” residents said.
They appealed the higher ups to take immediate measures in this regard and redress their grievances at earliest.
CEO Kishtwar told KNS that they have started the process in this regard and within one or two days, the genuine grievances of the people qwill be redressed. (KNS)
