Rather accuses PDP-BJP for officialising communalism in Kashmir

Addresses public meetings in Surusyar, Nawhaar and Kanir

Srinagar, Apr 07 (KNS): Senior National Conference leader and former minister Mr Abdul Rahim Rather on Friday said that fascism and communalism have got official patronage in Kashmir with opportunistic and power hungry PDP going out of way in placating RSS.
“Blessings from Nagpur are more important for the PDP than feeling the pain of oppressed Kashmiris in every habitation of the Valley”, Rather said while winding up the campaign in Srinagar parliamentary constituency.
He expressed surprise over brazenness of the government in encouraging and pampering the communal agenda which is reflected in each act of governance. He said the polarizing agents have gained central stage in the affairs of the state.
He was addressing workers meetings at various places in the Chrar-e-Sharief assembly segment of Srinagar parliamentary constituency.
Rather said that the BJP is more than elated over the enthusiasm being shown by the PDP in implementing its agenda, overtly and covertly. “In a bid to be in the good books of Amit Shah and Ram Madhav, the PDP leaders are crawling even though being asked just to bow”, he said and referred to anti-Kashmiri pursuit of the coalition government in targeting the people, especially youngsters, that has vitiated atmosphere across the Valley.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said fear of indiscriminate arrests is forcing people indoors with youth apprehensive about their safety while going out for pursuing academics. The situation is highly alarming, he said, and cautioned the PDP led government not to test the patience of people.
The former minister lauded resilience of the people in braving the atrocities being committed by the unbridled forces and said that the day is not far when the insensitive and anti-people government will have to pay for its each action.
Rather and senior leaders made a passionate appeal to the people to isolate the communal dispensation through their power of vote. He said the 9th April elections are an opportunity to explode the anger that has taken the shape of dynamite during over past two years in the wake of repression, oppression, killings and blinding. He said vote to Dr Farooq Abdullah will be support to efforts being made for seeking resolution to the political problem of Kashmir. (KNS)
