Srinagar, June 8 (KNS): Independent legislator and AIP chairman Er Abdul Rasheed was on Wednesday marshalled out of the Lower House over his demand of releasing a Muslim leader from Jammu who has been slapped with Public Safety Act (PSA).
As soon as the proceedings started in Lower House today, Rasheed created uproar over booking Shah under PSA. He demanded his immediate release.
Several opposition legislators including Congress MLA Vikar Rasool, NC MLA Ali Muhammad Sagar and Independent MLA from Kulgam M Y Tarigami joined Rasheed and sought release of Shah.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Syed Shabir Ahmad Shah, president Muslim Development Forum, was reportedly booked under the PSA for “being a threat to peace”.
However, Rashid was opposed by BJP lawmakers who accused him of disrupting proceedings in the House. Soon, he was marshalled out of the house. (KNS)
