Srinagar, Dec 29 (KNS): Terming the statement of BJP General Secretary, Ram Madhav as far from reality and based on stubbornness, the incarcerated Chairman of the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah on Tuesday said that in presence of the UN resolutions, these statements mean nothing.
In a statement to KNS, Shabir Ahmad Shah while terming Madhav's remarks as "white lie", said after occupying the territory with might of 8 lakh forces and then giving such statements is a unrealistic.
Suggesting Indian rulers to revisit the history, Shah said that India after occupying the Jammu and Kashmir in 1947, its then Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had promised in the UN that there will be referendum in the state as soon as situation improves."But with the passage of time, Indian rulers reneged from their promises and strengthened the forcible occupation of this state. Ram Madhav must bear in mind that J&K is not any internal issue of India but the one concerning the fate of 15 million people," he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Shah also said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir even before 1947 were against the autocratic rule and that it was never a part of India.
The DFP chairman while terming the l local pro-India rulers as clerks of New Delhi said they have nothing to do with this issue.
Expressing his viewpoint regarding the Indo-Pak talks, Shah made it clear that we are not against it but said Pakistan must not fall into India's trap and must clearly put forward its stand vis-à-vis Kashmir."Pakistan must strongly put its viewpoint that resistance leadership has to be involved in the talk’s process. How can a nation that is involved in such worst crimes against us since last 69 years be our well-wisher," he said.
Shah urged Pakistan to give priority to Kashmir issue while making developments in talks with India and don't compromise in any matter that concerns the Kashmir issue. (KNS)
