Rajnath Singh arrives in Jammu to take stock of situation amid anti-terror ops in Rajouri-Poonch


Srinagar, Dec 27 (KNS): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday arrived in Jammu to take stock of the situation amid anti-terror operation in Rajouri-Poonch region after four soldiers were killed in an ambush in Dera ki Gali in Rajouri district this week.

An official told KNS that Rajnath Singh arrived in Jammu today morning and was received by Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.

He said that Singh will take stock of the situation amid anti-terror operation in Rajouri-Poonch region after terrorists ambushed army vehicles on December 21 killing four soldiers.

The official said that Singh is likely to visit Rajouri-Poonch region to get first hand information about the anti-terror operation being conducted in the area.

Following the terror attack, 3 civilians also allegedly died after being picked up by army for questioning regarding the attack on army vehicles. (KNS)
