Apni Party leaders demand immediate clearance and opening of the Kupwara-Karnah road

Srinagar, Feb 13 (KNS): Apni Party District President Kupwara Raja Manzoor and General Secretary of the party's ST wing Khalid Badana have extended gratitude to the District Administration, Police, and BSF for their efforts that they put in practice to ensure that the four dead bodies (along with attendants) are airlifted to Tangdar from Handwara where they had been stuck for nearly 6 days after remaining in a mortuary at District Hospital Handwara.

In a statement issued here, both the leaders' Raja Manzoor and Khalid Badana have said, "We are grateful to the District administration, police, and BSF for making sure that the dead bodies reach their native villages. The chopper, which was deployed to duty returned back with some ailing persons along with their attendants who were in dire need to reach Handwara for their medical treatment. The assistance that the officials offered is appreciable."

The Apni Party leaders have also appealed Govt to make sure the snow-clad Kupwara-Karnah road is cleared and thrown open as soon as possible so that people of far-flung areas who are cut off from the rest of the Valley for the past few months could take a sigh of relief.(KNS)
