Hizbul Mujahideen supreme commander Syed Salahuddin has said that raising of Pakistani flags in Kashmiri in presence of eight lakh Indian troops was testimony to the fact that people of Valley are ideologically affiliated with the people of Pakistan, and no power on earth can “weaken this spiritual and ideological relationship”.
In a statement issued to KNS, spokesman of Hizbul Mujahideen Saleem Hashim quoted Hizb chief as saying: “Kashmiris share an unflinching love with the nation of Pakistan and are expressing it in presence of eight lakh Indian troops and without caring for their life.”

Salahuddin, as per the statement, expressed anguish over the deteriorating health of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, and appealed people to pray for his health and long life. ‘Geelani sahib is the leader and spirit of Kashmir’s freedom movement. He is leading the movement not only politically but on ideological front too,” Salahuddin said, while praying for his immediate recovery.
The convention, as per the statement, thanked the people for celebrating August 14 as Pakistan’s Independence Day and observing August 15 as black day.
