Jammu, Feb 19 (KNS) ; In a significant move to tackle the surging passenger rush, the Jammu Division of Northern Railways has announced the attachment of additional coaches to two prominent trains—the Jammu Rajdhani and the Kolkata Express. This decision, aimed at ensuring passenger comfort during the upcoming festive season, will provide immediate relief to waitlisted and general-class travelers.
According to a railway spokesperson, an extra Third AC coach will be attached to Train No. 12425/12426 New Delhi-Jammu-New Delhi Rajdhani Express on February 21 and 22. Additionally, a general-class coach has been added to the long-distance Train No. 13152/13151 Jammu Tawi-Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Express, with the arrangement effective from February 21 to March 1.

"The decision has been taken in view of the upcoming festivals to reduce the extra rush and make the journey comfortable for passengers," officials stated.
Commenting on the initiative, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal reiterated the division’s commitment to passenger convenience. "Jammu Division continuously monitors train demand and occupancy. This step has been taken to enhance travel comfort. We aim to provide every passenger with a safe, punctual, and comfortable journey," he said.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to avail themselves of the additional facilities for a smoother travel experience. (KNS)
