Jammu, Feb 17 (KNS) ; In a significant push towards a paperless and integrated ticketing system, the Northern Railway’s Jammu Division has launched an extensive awareness drive to promote the 'RailOne' super app, a multi-purpose digital platform designed to consolidate all passenger services.
Initially launched on July 1, 2025, by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the 'RailOne' app is being positioned as a comprehensive solution to eliminate the need for multiple railway applications. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal led a large-scale trial and publicity campaign on Monday, targeting students and daily commuters across the division.
Speaking about the initiative, Singhal emphasized the app’s role in modernizing travel. "The RailOne app has been developed with modern data analytics and security standards. Our primary objective is to make passenger travel completely paperless and seamless," Singhal said. "This app not only simplifies ticket booking but also enhances our ability to improve services based on real-time feedback from passengers."
The awareness campaign extended beyond railway stations to educational institutions, including the University of Jammu, where railway officials engaged with over 500 students and faculty.

The app consolidates services previously scattered across platforms like IRCTC, UTS, and Rail Madad. Key features highlighted by railway officials include the ability to book reserved, unreserved (UTS), and platform tickets from a single interface. Passengers can also access real-time train location, coach status, and platform numbers, as well as order food directly to their seats and file grievances through the integrated system.
In a move to incentivize digital adoption, passengers using digital payments or the in-app R-Wallet to book unreserved and platform tickets will receive a 3 percent discount, a scheme valid until July 14, 2026.
Officials noted that the app is particularly beneficial for university students in Jammu, allowing them to manage Monthly Season Tickets (MST) digitally, thereby reducing the need to queue at ticket counters. The Jammu Division has urged all passengers to maximize the use of the 'RailOne' app and help spread awareness among fellow travelers. (KNS)
