Rahul Gandhi extends Eid greetings to J&K people, voices concern over Middle East conflict

 Srinagar, Mar 21 (KNS) : Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Saturday telephoned Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Hameed Karra to convey his heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the people of the union territory.

 
During the telephonic conversation, Rahul Gandhi asked Karra to extend his sincere wishes to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion, praying for their happiness and prosperity.
 
Describing Eid-ul-Fitr as a unique and sacred occasion marking the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan, the Congress leader expressed hope that the Almighty would accept the fasting and prayers of the people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"I pray that this sacred occasion ushers in an era of peace, progress and stability in Jammu and Kashmir," Gandhi said.
 
Karra thanked the Leader of Opposition for his warm gesture and reciprocated the greetings on behalf of the people of the union territory.
 
In a joint expression of concern, the two leaders also voiced anguish over the loss of precious lives in ongoing conflicts in Iran, Gaza and other parts of the Middle East. They laid strong emphasis on an immediate end to hostilities, which have devastated countless innocent families and caused immense human losses. (KNS)
