Srinagar, Dec 14 (KNS): Prominent political leaders on Tuesday expressed profound grief over the passing away of Mohd Akbar Mir and conveyed heartfelt condolences to bereaved family.

The deceased was younger brother of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahamd Mir.

Former AICC President Rahul Gandhi, Dr.Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Tariq Hameed Karra, M.Y.Tarigami, Gh.Hasan Mir, Ab.Rehman Veeri, Abid Ansari, Rafi Ahamd Mir and various other political leaders dialed JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir and conveyed heartfelt condolences on the passing away of Mohd Akbar Mir, who breathed his last Sunday evening in SKIMS Soura after a very brief illness.

The leaders expressed solidarity with Ghulam Ahmad Mir and other members of the bereaved family.

They also prayed for eternal peace to Mohd Akbar Mir and courage to bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss. (KNS)
