Bandipora, Dec 14 (KNS): Residents of Bagh Bandipora here in North Kashmir's Bandipora district are up in arms against the Roads and Buildings department for ignoring the Raheemiyah-Bandipora Road since a long time.
Residents said Raheemiyah-Bandipora road has not been Macadamised since years leading to the detoratation of the road.
A local told this correspondent that the road was macadamized years back, and since then it has been completely neglected, and is in deep Shambles.
The problem, according to the locals is aggravated during rainy seasons when the patholes on the road are filled with rain water making even pedestrian travel impossible.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
R&B department hardly bothers about these roads. See the shabby condition of the roads with potholes in the middle, blamed the department for the present state, condition of the road. Despite the public outcry, they failed to carry out the mecadamization.
Locals accused the Govt, MLA Bandipora for not maintaining the road and showing apathy over this issue, added that "We only see politicians at the time of elections. During electioneering they promise Moon but fail to even provide us bijli, sadak and paani," the residents said.
Meanwhile, local residents Appealed MLA Bandipora to address their Grievances at the Earliest. (KNS)
