Srinagar October 15 (KNS): In continuation of the party’s ongoing public outreach programme, Apni Party General Secretary on Saturday visited several areas of south Kashmir’s Pahalgam constituency. He was accompanied by several party leaders and senior workers.

According to a statement issued here, Rafi Ahmad Mir had a series of meetings with the people in the Dragdan, Hapatnar, and Yanner areas, wherein he urged people to help the party strengthen at the grass root level.

He said, “This is a people's party that works for the common people. Unlike traditional political parties, Apni Party has a clear agenda for the benefit of the masses. We work for the peace, prosperity, and development of Jammu and Kashmir, and our key agenda is to ensure people of this land are politically and economically empowered.”

He added, “But, to implement its people-friendly agenda, Apni Party requires complete support from the masses. We promise you that we will not leave any stone unturned to ensure peace and prosperity of this land, which has been grappling with protracted conflict and bloodshed over the years.”

Meanwhile, a number of National Conference (NC) workers have joined the Apni Party during these public meetings. While welcoming the new entrants into the party fold Rafi Ahmed Mir assured them that they will get full support from the party leadership when they are out there to serve the people. He urged the new entrants to boost their political activities to serve the people and enhance their public outreach activities.(KNS)
