Srinagar, Nov 06 (KNS): Chairman JK Democratic Liberation Party, Hashim Qureshi has expressed deep sorrow over the passing away of Ved Bhasin, a pioneer of truthful journalism. Hashim Qureshi said that Ved Bhasin had always been a voice of the underprivileged, an uncompromising liberal and free thinker of our times and an ardent supporter of an Independent Jammu & Kashmir.
In a statement to KNS, he remembered the Chief Editor of Kashmir Times as a secular and farsighted son of the soil. A condolence meeting was held at the residence of Chairman JKDLP in which the party members prayed for the departed soul and expressed their condolences to his daughters, Anuradha Bhasin, Anju Bhasin and the entire journalistic fraternity. (KNS)
