Qalamabad Police Organize Awareness Rally Against Drug Abuse Among Students

Qalamabad, April 15(KNS): Qalamabad Police Station in collaboration with Higher Secondary School Qalamabad organized an anti-drug awareness rally from School premises to Audoora bridge to strengthen awareness and community engagement.

The programme aimed to educate students about social evils, with focus on the harmful effects of drug abuse on youth and society.

Principal Higher Secondary School Qalamabad Mawar, Muhammad Kaifayyat Shah, and SHO Qalamabad, Sameer Altaf, addressed the gathering.

The speakers highlighted rising concern over drug use and stressed the need for strong awareness and strict law enforcement.

The SHO explained health and legal risks linked to drugs. He asked students to stay vigilant and spread awareness in their communities.

He warned of strict action against drug traffickers, including property confiscation and cancellation of driving licences in Tehsil Qalamabad.

The programme was organised in collaboration with Higher Secondary School Qalamabad.

The event was held as part of the 100-day anti-drug campaign launched by the Lieutenant Governor of J&K.

Qalamabad Police said it will continue such drives to protect youth and eliminate drug abuse.(KNS).
