Handwara, Sep 28 (KNS) : Qalamabad Police and Fire and Emergency Services swiftly acted to control a massive blaze that gutted a cowshed at Gamandar Nowgam on Sunday evening, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses.
Witnesses said the fire broke out around 7:45 pm from the cowshed of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, son of Mohd Ali Mir. The flames quickly engulfed the entire structure and property worth thousands of rupees was reduced to ashes.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
SHO Qalamabad Inspector Ashraf Bonyari and his team, along with fire tenders and locals, rushed to the spot and launched an immediate firefighting operation. Their timely action brought the blaze under control and averted further damage in the locality.
The cowshed owner has appealed to the administration for financial assistance.(KNS)
