Pulwama boy shuns militancy, returns home: Police

Srinagar, May 05 (KNS): A Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant has shunned militancy and returned home in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said on Sunday.

In past four weeks, three local boys have returned home in Kashmir after being active in militant ranks.

“One more youth from Pulwama who was part of terror outfit JeM has shunned the path of violence & returned to the mainstream with the efforts of family and Police.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHis identity is protected. We wish him all the best,” police tweeted.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh said police don’t want youth should go towards militancy. “Now youth are shunning gun and it is good news for all of us. We congratulate the boy as well as his family. We want more youth shun gun and return home,” Singh said. (KNS)
