Karnah December 18:(KNS) After many days of tussle the RTO Kupwara set fares of all the routes of Karnah. But some drivers are still violating the rules and charging extra fairs from the passengers. In this matter police issues strick guidelines to those who are violating the laws. Police and Civil admistration are continues keeping a check on fare those who are still violating the laws are getting challanged. Police and civil admistration has insisted the people to report if the drivers are charging extra fare to them. Police and admistration also promised that strict actions will be taken if they found someone charging extra fare.
Taking this issue the Police Sub Inspector(Rural) Javid Ahmad challaned many vehicles who were violating the guidelines and charging extra fare from the passengers. This action was done on the directions of SDM Karnah. While talking to KNS the SI (Rural) said that they have challaned approximately 90 vehicles an amout of Rs. 25000 has been collected from the violaters. He also mentioned that they are also keeping a check on the irregularities such as charging extra fares from passengers, minors drivers and driving without licence and valid documents. The people of the Karnah has expressed a sense of gratitude to the admistration for taking such much needed steps.(KNS)
