Srinagar, Oct 01 (KNS):Private Schools’ Association J&K (PSAJK) started a massive programme of capacity building of teachers across the Kashmir division and the first of its kind, two day teachers’ training programme concluded here at Al-Huda Public School Pattan today. 

More than thirty teachers of private schools from three zones of Pattan area participated in the programme. 

During the two day capacity building programme, teachers were acquainted with latest knowledge about teaching pedagogy and changing scenario of education especially under the challenges put before us by the covid pandemic. 

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, G.N.Var, President PSAJK said that the association has initiated a massive capacity building programme for teachers and teachers of private schools from all zones of Jammu and Kashmir will be given training so that teachers are equipped to impart quality education to the children as per the latest global requirements and to make teachers capable of facing the challenges in the education system. 

He said that the important part of the programme is that teachers are being acquainted with the requirements of New Education Policy 2020 which has been rolled out by the Government recently. 

He added that PSAJK, while working for the welfare of private schools, is committed to provide quality education to the students of J&K and will leave no stone unturned in providing moral education to our younger generation. Giving the example of recently conducted international conference on the theme “ Quality Education & 21st Century Challenges”, Mr Var said that in future more conferences, seminars and inter school competitions will be conducted so that students are exposed to the real world and are prepared for facing the challenges of life ahead. Speaking on this occasion, Secretary PSAJK G.N.Shakir said that our teachers need to be equipped with the latest techniques of teaching so that the students are in a position to compete with their global counterparts.

Pertinent to mention that PSAJK has devised a schedule for capacity building of teachers across Kashmir division and in the first phase, teachers from Pattan, Palhalan and adjacent zones were given the training. 

Services of renowned resource persons and master trainers like A.R.Zargar, ex Zonal Education Officer and author of many books on Mathematics, Shakir Shafi, member academic council J&K and Mehraju-Din Malik, expert on pedagogy were utilized in order to update and upgrade the teaching capabilities of teachers during the two day programme.
