Srinagar, Dec 01 (KNS): People’s Republican Party (PRP) on Thursday staged a protest here at Srinagar’s press enclave against coalition government for failing to take concrete steps over resolving the Kashmir issue.
The party members’ along with its president, Ghulam Rasool assembled and chanted slogans against the state and central government.
Talking to KNS, PRP president, Ghulam Rasool said that the state as well as the central government failed to take concrete steps over resolving the Kashmir issue.
He said that in past four months of uprising, more than 90 people were killed while hundreds of youth were rendered blind and several thousands have been arrested.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Such kind of things won’t end until the dialogue won’t take place,” he said.
“India’s first Prime Minister, Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru had promised the people here that plebiscite will be held in Kashmir, unfortunately the same remained a distinct dream as nothing has been done in this regard,” he added.
He said that besides situation in Kashmir, the people living across LoC are being killed with each passing day due to the deteriorating situation in border areas.
He also demanded immediate release of youth who have been arrested from past three months and area languishing in different jails across the state. (KNS)
