DC says he has ordered probe

Srinagar, Sep 25 (KNS): Protested erupted on Monday night in Malwan village in Kulgam against
braid cutting incidents after people suspected that some unidentified
person tried to cut braid of a woman, hours after Chief Minister
Mehbooba Mufti asked the DGP to form a special investigation team to
probe the incidents which have caused anxiety among people.
Locals told KNS over phone that they suspected an unidentified person attempted to cut the braid of a woman in the village in her home.
Many such incidents have happened in the district from the last many

DC Kulgam Talat Parvez said that the administration has ordered an
inquiry into the incident.
“More than 12 incidents of braid chopping have happened in the
district. I have ordered an inquiry into the incidents, police is
probing it,” Parvez told KNS.
Earlier, today CM asked the DGP Dr SP Vaid to set up a SIT to probe
the incidents of braid cutting. (KNS)
