Srinagar, Aug 26 (KNS): The residents of Reban Rafiabad Friday staged a protest against the two store keepers of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CA&PD) posted at Reban.
According to KNS correspondent, locals of Athiripora, Umarabad, Madina Mohalla, Malpora, Tantray Mohalla and Haripora Reban alleged that two store keepers namely Bilal Ahmad and Muhammad Maqbool always uses to sell the rice meant for general public at Rs 2550 per quintal and these two store keepers always befools the general public saying that there is shortage of supply.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The protesters raised slogans against the two alleged erring officials and demanded immediate action against him.
Bilal Ah (storekeeper) while talking to KNS admitted that he has sold rice at Rs 2550 per quintal and said that he is willing to return the extra money back to the people, which he has received.
Despite repeated attempts, the other official could not be contacted for the comments. (KNS)
