Kupwara, Aug 08 (KNS): Even as the protests in demand of portable water continued for the fourth straight day in Kralpora, Kupwara, authorities on Wednesday directed field staff to remove all encroachments on the under construction bore well and complete the pending works on its SR.
According to the KNS correspondent, Tehsildar Kralpora Gulzar Ahmad Mir today along with SHO Waseem Ahmad Budoo visited the Gazriyal where people have been protesting against shortage of drinking water.
Tehsildar during his visit was told that the construction of a bore well had been undertaken nearly six years back but a particular mohallah encroached upon it resulting the abandoning of the project.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThey demanded that the project be completed so that the water shortage in the area is taken care of. The Tehsildar issued directions on the spot for removing the encroachments and assured locals that the SR of the bore well would be completed soon so that the water scarcity in the area is taken care of.
