Srinagar, Feb 20 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party MLA from Zadibal and uncle of disgruntled minister Imran Ansari, Abid Ansari today said that his nephew resigned from the ministry because the party did not fulfill the promise of changing his portfolio.
“Imran Ansari was assured by the chief minister that his portfolio will be changed as he had expressed his dissatisfaction with his earlier portfolio,” Abid Ansari, PDP MLA from Zadibal and uncle of Imran Ansari, told KNS.
Asked what be the next step of Imran Ansari if his portfolio is not changed, Abid said: “We (Imran Ansari and I) will be associated with PDP and work for the implementation of the vision of the party which was framed by late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed,” Abid said when asked if the chief minister does not accept the resignation and change in portfolio
“Naeem Akhtar is responsible for the mess in the party.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe does not know who is a voter, what is a constituency,” Abid added, seeking that Naeem should be “cut to size by the party president and should not be allowed to interfere in the party as he is going to spoil it.”
Imran Ansari and Basharat Bukhari resigned from their ministries as the former did not get change in portfolio and the latter was stripped of his earlier portfolio of revenue, relief and rehabilitation by the chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti. (KNS)
