Karnah July 30 (KNS): Prominent political activists from Karnah-Kupwara led by Sarpanch Khalid Badana on Thursday joined Apni Party at its office in Lal Chowk, Srinagar.

Besides Mr. Badana, Mohammad Shafi Chowhan, Mohammad Yaseen, Muneer Ahmad, Mohammad Yaseen, Ghulam Nabi, Manzoor Ahmad Poswal, Abdul Hameed, Mohammad Farooq, Khalid Badana, Ghulam Rabani, Mohammad Altaf and Mohammad Shafi Poswal.

While talking to KNS correspondent Karnah Peerzada Sayeed, He Said: Apni Party is working for the betterment of the peoples across the state.

The joining ceremony took place in presence of Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, former MLA and Senior Apni Party leader Mohammad Dilawar Mir, Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, Provincial Secretary Javed Mirchal, District President Kupwara Raja Manzoor, District President Ganderbal Javid Mir and BDC Member Mrs. Nishad.

Welcoming the new entrants into the party-fold, Bukhari impressed on them to work selflessly for the welfare of the common people in their respective areas and put in unstinted efforts for the public welfare.

‘The political legitimacy of any party always depends on the works it does for the welfare of the people. The region of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a developmental stagnation due to the apathetic attitude of various regional parties and currently a bureaucratic hegemony that needs to end now,” he remarked.

 He said: “Apni Party has pledged to shun the hollow sloganeering as the party is resolute in putting unstinted efforts to work at grassroots level and resolve their issues on a prompt basis,” he observed.

“We need to encourage men and women from all walks of life to get connected with the agenda of our Party. It is our primary responsibility to carry forward our program to the grass root level with an aim to strengthen the Party and counter the government on different issues confronting the people across J&K especially the district Kupwara,” Bukhari observed.

The new entrants thanked the Party leadership for changing the political discourse in Jammu and Kashmir. They pledged to uphold the party’s flambeau and strengthen its cadres in their respective areas. (KNS)
