Kupwara , Oct 14 (KNS) : Prominent lawyer Advocate Shiekh Majeed joined People’s Democratic Party in presence of party chief and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Ms Mehbooba Mufti and other dignatries of party.
Welcoming Adv Shiekh Majeed into party folds, Ms Mufti said that his contributions for the welfare of public is praiseworthy and he was member of party during the Mufti Mohammad Syed's tenure, She hoped that with joining of Adv shiekh to party will get further strengthened in district Kupwara .
Speaking on the occasion Adv shiekh said said that Jammu and Kashmir is passing though difficult times and it is our responsibility to struggle for restoration of our dignity and honour.
He added that I have always worked for the welfare of public, especially in court and have helped the general public in eradicating the social evils in the society to a greater extent. Adv shiekh Majeed also said that, in 2005 when kashmir was hit by a devastating earthquake, I have helped the people to have basic necessities during that tough time.
Moreover, Advocate Shiekh Majeed said that, joining PDP again is just to be the voice of public, especially for Kupwara I have and will work for benefits of people.(KNS)
