Prominent KP delegation Calls on New Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner J&K

Srinagar Febuary 06 (KNS): A delegation of prominent socio-political leaders of Kashmiri Pandit community from all  Camps and Non Camps of Jammu Called on New Relief and Rehabilitation  Comissioner (Migrants) J&K,  Dr. Arvind Karwani at his office chamber in Jammu today to discuss and deliberate upon the genuine problems being faced by all the migrants living in  exile for last more than thirty four years under the leadership M.K Yogi Senior leader of the Community. 

M.K.Yogi Senior leader of Community presented bouquet to the new Commissioner and apprised him with   the pertinent problems of the community like long pending demand of enhancement of monthly cash assistance from Rs. 13000 to Rs.25000 per month,  allotment of accommodation to PM package employees working in valley who live on rent basis  outside transit camps, implementation of  migrant immovable Property Act 1997 in letter and spirit,  construction of more quarters in Jammu for non camp migrants who live still  on rent in different parts of Jammu and udhampur. 

Yogi appealed newly appointed officer to seriously take up all these issues with His Excellency Lt. Governor J&K for early resolution, being the nodal agency of all migrants.

While welcoming the Newly appointed Relief Commissioner, Vinod Pandita and Vishal Jotshi Socio prominent Political activists apprised the newly appointed Commissioner about the genuine problems being faced by the community in exile like the formation of a concrete- time bound Rehabilitation Policy for Kashmiri Pandits back in valley,  creation of new 10 ten thousand posts in different departments for educated unemployed migrant youth as unemployment is on rise in the community.

 Pandita appealed the newly appointed Relief Commissioner to take up these important issues with the concerned Higher ups for early resolution being the nodal agency of migrants.

 Pintoo Ji,  Ashwani Bhat and Tej Dhar prominent KP activists while welcoming the Newly appointed Commissioner apprised the Relief Commissioner about the genuine problems  of camps like better provisions of regular supply of drinking water, electricity  in all camps in Jammu, internal repairment of Quarters, allotment of 130 shops to deserving people in Jagti,  adequate supply of medicines in Jagti Hospital, maintenance of inter link roads, Parks etc in Jagti township, releasing of withheld three hundred relief holder  category ration cards etc. as well appealed to new  RC Jammu to address the above  listed problems on priority. 

Dr. T.K. Bhat, Dr. Romesh Bhat, Ashok Dhar, S.L.Koul, B.L.Dhar, Anil Bhan, Vijay Kumar Mahajan, Ashok Sumbli, Ram Rattan and others  highlighted the problems of Muthi and Purkhoo migrant Camps   like better provisions of regular supply of drinking water in all camps of  Muthi,  Buta Nagar and Purkhoo Jammu, internal repairment of Quarters, construction of Shops in Muthi Camp, Camp school issues, regular Sanitation in all migrant Camps,  quick disposal of public issues in RC office and at  Zones etc.

Dr. Arvind Karwani Relief Commissioner  expressed gratitude to the delegates and assured them that  he would leave no stone unturned in mitigating the sufferings of the displaced community. Dr. Riyaz Ahmed  and Ritika Arora ACR Relief were also present  in the meeting 

 In the end, a  vote of thanks was presented by M.K. Yogi senior leader of the community.(KNS)
