Prominent fiction writer Hari Krishan Kaul remembered, Sahitya Akademi organises event in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jul 19 (KNS): A literary event was organised on Friday by Sahitya Akademi at Rabindra Bhawan, New Delhi to deliberate upon the valuable contribution of late hari Krishan Kaul and towards Kashmiri language and literature.

In this literary symposium, distinguished scholors and writers of Kashmiri language, discussed different aspects of life and contribution of Hari Krishan Kaul.

While welcoming the guests Dr K Srinivasarao, secretary, Sahitya Akademi lauded the role of hari Krishan Kaul in enriching Indian literature with special reference to the contemporary Kashmiri short story.

In his inaugural address, Convener, Kashmiri advisory board, Dr Aziz Hajini said that Hari Krishan Kaul gave a new dimension to Kashmiri short story writing and raised it to global standards. Dr Hajini added that he was a distinguished playwright as well.

The scholors who discussed the various dimensions of the literary personality of Kaul include Autar Krishan Rehbar, Mushtaq Muntazir, Gauri Shankar Raina, Roshan Lal Roshan, Roop Kishan Bhat and Rajesh Bhat. (KNS)
