Bharatiya Janata Party Saturday demanded that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed should order a probe to ascertain the militant links of the mainstream politicians and reinvestigate the Hawala cases registered against the separatists.
In a statement to KNS BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir said: “Recent revelations of the former RAW Chief A S Dulat cannot be brushed aside.”
Jehangir said Chief Minister should ask the investigating agencies to peep into the past of the politicians and ascertain whether they still have militant links or not. “There are reports that separatists have been seeking favours from the mainstream politicians and they have been obliged on many occasions. BJP believes that this practice should be done away with and people at the helm should concentrate on addressing the issues concerning the masses,” he added.

“Many cases about separatist receiving money through Hawala channels were registered in different police stations but investigations were left half way. Chief Minister should get these cases reinvestigated to ascertain how much money was pumped into Jammu and Kashmir to keep the pot boiling.”
The BJP spokesman alleged that separatists have built mansions and have a lavish life style. “The Chief Minister, who is also the Home Minister of the state, should order a probe to ascertain the source of income of the separatists,” he added.
Jehangir said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have pinned lot of hopes on the BJP-PDP regime and it’s the duty of the people at the helm to ensure that Government lives upto their expectations.
