PRO, APROs to review ongoing membership drive of Congress in Kashmir

Srinagar Feb 17 (KNS): Pradesh Returning Officer (PRO) and APROs of J&K Congress are scheduled to visit Kashmir to hold interaction with the Congress leaders in Srinagar, sources said here on Thursday.

Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that PRO Ranjeet Ranjan accompanied by MP Amee Yajnik and senior leader Khushwant Brar, who have been appointed for J&K, are scheduled to reach Srinagar on February 22 to review the ongoing membership drive in order to prepare roadmap for forthcoming organizational elections.

They also disclosed that Congress Party shall ensure representation to SC, OBCs, ST and other deprived classes above 18 years by involving them in the ongoing Party’s membership drive aiming to ensure their  proper representation in the party, for which party feels highly committed.

They also said that former legislators, Senior Congress Leaders, DCC Presidents, PCC Members, Block Presidents and prominent Party workers will participate in the Membership review meeting at Srinagar Party Office.

Earlier, PRO and APROs have reviewed the membership drive in Jammu province as well. (KNS)
