Principal chief conservator of forests kick starts JK Green Drive at GDC Bandipora

Bandipora, March 09 (KNS): Principal Chief Conservator of Forests J&K Dr Mohit Gera (IFS)  on Tuesday visited Degree college Bandipora and initiated JK Green Drive.

An official told news agency KNS that the plantation drive was held by JK Forest Department in collaboration with Degree College Bandipora. "Students along with officials of Degree College, JK FOREST Department  and WUCMA participated in the plantation drive." 

It was informed that under the drive 1 crore plants will be planted across J&K to enhance green cover.

The event was attended by Conservator of Forests North & Srinagar Circle, Principal Degree College, Officials from Forest Department and students of the college.

Later, the PCCF visited Bandipora Forest Division, Kashmir Forest Training School and Wular Lake and took stock of various development and restoration works of Wular Lake. (KNS)
