Srinagar, Nov 16 (KNS): President Handwara Traders Federation Aijaz Ahmad Sofi on Thursday hit out at Power Development Department for erratic power supply in the Handwara town and leveled money minting charges against officials of Municipal Committee Handwara for allowing venders to run their business illegally on the road sides and footpaths.
According to the KNS correspondent, addressing a presser in Handwara, Sofi said the intermittent power cuts though out day and more intensified in the evening have plunged the town into darkness but the concerned officers and officials of Power Development Department are not paying any heed to growing public outcry against the erratic power supply.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe also accused officers and officials of Municipal Committee Handwara of taking bribe from the venders to allow them to run their mobile shops arranged on wooden carts in the middle of roads leading to intense traffic James. He has sought the intervention of Governor Satya Pal Malik to address power woes and traffic mismanagement in Handwara town. (KNS)
