Will take up construction of Anantnag press club with DC

Srinagar, Dec 2 (KNS): Principal Secretary Power and Information, Rohit Kansal today said that electrical supply

has been increased 10 to 15 percent more besides curtailment time is is also less and transformer damage has come down 25 % than last year.
He informed this to KNS correspondent after chairing a maiden developmental meeting of officers of Anantnag and Kulgam including Deputy Commissioners.
We are trying to give more relief to the people of Kashmir, Kansal told KNS correspondent..
He added that the increase in supply has been made possible due to increase in transmission capacity by removing other bottlenecks for better transmission of power.
He assured that department is working to provide more relief to the people.
"Steps are afoot to upgrade capacity of Gopalpora grid, Mir Bazar transmission line and other projects to bring more efficency"
He added that all the officers of the department are working in coordination to provide more relief to the public by removing all constraints so that unrestricted demand of people is fullfilled.
Power Secretary also said that work on installation of poles and meters has been completed in 19 towns falling under the circle and would be handed over to power distribution wing of department.
Regarding a question on reports of bungling in the awar of contract by officials of SE project wing Anantnag town, he said, " we will seek report from the chief engineer and Axon concerned, SE Project wing and an enquiry would be initiated so that action will follow against those officials who have misused Government money," he told KNS.


Meanwhile Rohit Kansal informed KNS Beruae Chief Tasaduq Rashid  and Anantnag working journalists association  that their request for press club in Anantnag would be taken up with Deputy Commissioner Anantnag (KNS).
