Srinagar, Oct 6 (KNS): The Government on Thursday claimed that the power curtailment schedule coming up later this month in Valley will have respite for the consumers across Valley.
Minister for Power Development Farooq Andrabi told KNS that the curtailment schedule is in the offing for the coming winter period in Valley and will be announced later this month. The minister however added that this year’s curtailment schedule will have lot of respite for the Valley consumers and would be unlike that of the previous years. “Earlier we have seen erratic cuts and paucity of voltage- this year, we have ensured maximum respite from unscheduled cuts,” says the minister, adding that various reformatory measures have been taken by the power department including democratizing the LED lamps among people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“This will bring down the power demand to great extent. Further we are waiting for the situation to improve so that we could kick start the remaining works on R-ARDRP,” Andrabi said.
Kashmir valley usually reels under darkness during the bone chilling cold of the winder period with power department keeping the rhetoric of power shortage as a face saving measure. (KNS)
