Revocation of Article 370 has already alienated people of J&K from mainstream although the Article 370 was working as a bridge between the people of j&k and rest of Country & was helping in strengthening the bond of j&k with the people of the rest of the country but with this revocation the people of j&k have been robbed of honour, Identity & Dignity Similarly the recent decision of delaying elections in J&K  is another example of how people of J&K are disenfranchised Vakil added

He said depriving people from Statehood is a big humiliation to people of j&k .Although the centre Govt especially the Prime Minister of India & Home Minister have assured the statehood in the Parliament but till today nothing has been done in this direction but on the other hand restoration of statehood has been made conditional which is against the norms of Democracy Mr Abdul Gani Vakil was addressing workers meetings in different villages of sopore & Rafiabad which include Doabgah,Bahrampora  ,Warpora & Janawari.

Wherein he demanded a special job package for unemployed youth, Economic package for fruit growers, ST status for pahari’s & regularisation of thousands of daily wagers who are making hardly both ends meet.

Vakil Appealed to Union Govt to take such confidence measures which will help in bringing people of J&K towards national mainstream and not push them away.

Besides others who addressed the meeting include Senior PC leaders Ghulam Mohd Mir,Tariq Ahmed Mir,Umar Rashid and Yar Mohamme.(KNS)
