Jan for probe in SBM funding, asks RDD minister for clearing his stand on RDD scam

Poonch, Mar 29 (KNS): A number of public deputations from different areas of Poonch today called upon National Conference leader Ajaz Jan and appraised him about problems faced by masses.
These deputations were drawn from different urban and rural areas of Poonch.
Several issues including poor power supply network, worst ever water supply by PHE, poor work culture in offices among others were discussed by masses.
One of the main issue put forth by people was pending liabilities of MGNREGA wages and other allied payments with people termed it a major reason of headache for them.
Besides, they also decried about pick and choose policy for allotment of bathrooms to be constructed under SBM.
In his press statement, Ajaz Jan has asked state government to review its governance level in Poonch district which is contrary to tall claims of governance by government.
Jan also alleged that concerned officials are not working to give benefit to deserving families under SBM for bathrooms constructions and only blue eyed people are finding their place in lists.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Jan also termed Rural Development Department as a failed ministry in Poonch district and said that people are waiting for pending payments of MGNREGA since years and government is paying least concern to clearance of liabilities with main focus laid on adjusting blue eyed people in new sanctioned works.
He also asked Rural Development Department Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Government to clear his stand as a major scam in department has taken place under his nose for which a FIR has been registered by Vigilance Organisation yesterday.
He also said that there is a need to start probe from any agency into utilisation of funds under SBM in Poonch district alleging that money meant for reaching to poor masses is going down the drain due to poor grip of officers and ministry on lower level. (KNS)
