Former minister and Democratic Party nationalist chairman and former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir in a statement here on Sunday accused ruling people’s democratic party of politicizing the process of issuing ration cards to create a mess in the ration distribution system.
In a statement issued to KNS, Mir said that the ration is not distributed as per 2011 census but committees were formed at village levels to frame list of ration cards under the guidance of local PDP workers. Alleging that genuine BPL ration card holders were taken off from the BPL category to issue BPL cards to workers and sympathizers of PDP Mir said the new approach of the government has created a mess of ration distribution in the state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Stating that the government has failed to bring about transparency in the ration distribution system in the state Mir asked the government to immediately change the ration distribution system to ensure that the real BPL beneficiaries get the ration under the BPL category and APL category is also accommodated genuinely.
