Srinagar, Aug 20 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Apni party senior vice-president Gulam Hussan Mir on Friday said that political thought cannot be silenced by gun.

While talking to reporters after visiting the home pf Apni party leader Ghulam Hassan Lone in Devsar Kulgam, who was killed by militants yesterday, Mir said that the killing of the party colleague in coldblood is highly reprehensible and violence in any of its manifestations is unacceptable at all. 

He also said that the attackers have their own ideology while the political leaders too have their own but this does not mean that political leaders will be assassinated. 

“Those targetting political leaders carry an ideology same as political leaders carry,” Mir said, adding that by killing them political thought cannot be silenced rather it will emerge more.

Earlier yesterday, militants had shot dead Apni Party leader, Ghulam Hassan Lone outside his residence at Devsar area of Kulgam. (KNS)
