Srinagar, Aug 28(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh Saturday said that police will take stern action against those who goes against the law and order. 

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Correspondent, talking to media during his visit at Bandipora, the J&K police chief said that the police will deal with them severely, whoever goes against the law and order. 

"Today was our Bandipora visit in which we came to meet the police army and the rest of the security forces as there was a slight interruption during the coronavirus and we were unable to meet, " he said. "I congratulate the police personnel here because they have done a great job and I congratulate the army as well as they too have done a good job, " The DGP said. 

Dilbag Singh said that the security situation  here at Bandipora is much better than before, However there are also big powers that want to disrupt this peace and order as you know, a group of militants came here after crossing LOC to intensify militant activities here  but the group was neutralized by our security forces by conducting an operation and a large number of weapons were seized from them while the police and security forces will continue to do the same in this regard. 

About recent encounter in which top militant was killed, he said that Abbas Sheikh, who was guilty of killing many innocent people, has also been killed in recent operations and in the rest of the operations that have taken place in South Kashmir, the militants who were killed were also involved in the number of civilian killings. 

While talking about OGW's arrested in North kashmir, the DGP said that police and security forces continued their operation as we try to take the toughest possible action against those who are going against peace and law. The police recently arrested some OGW's in Handwara with weapons and it is clear that strict action will be taken against anyone who wants to create an atmosphere of terrorism here. 

 About taliban statements on kashmir, the DGP said have said that the atmosphere here is good and will continue to be so.
