Srinagar,Feb 24 (KNS): Handwara police on Monday  claimed  to have seized illicit  timber from house of a forest  official in Kukroosa village  of Handwara.

In a statement issued by police to KNS reads, “on the basis of reliable information Police station Vllgam seized about 26 cft illicit timber at Kukroosa from the premises of the house of Reyaz Ahmed Shah.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel 

In this connection FIR no 05/2020 u/s 379 IPC , 26 IF Act stands registered and investigation has been taken up. Seeing the Police team approaching the accused fled away from the spot, the statement added.

The accused person is employee is still absconding, (KNS).
