Srinagar, Sep 22 (KNS): Handwara Police on Friday claimed to have seized nearly 60 litres of illegally hoarded diesel in Bagdaji Nowgam area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Police said that the illegally hoarded diesel was seized from a residential house of Muhammad Shanu Mir, son of Mukhtar Mir.
Station House Officer (SHO) Qalamabad, Abdul Ahad Jan told KNS that FIR has been registered against Mir under section 3/8 of Essential Commodity Act (ECA).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Handwara, Ghulam Jeelani Wani said that police will start a special drive from tomorrow against those who hoard the petroleum items illegally. (KNS)
