Srinagar, Jun 24 (KNS): Police on Friday claimed to have prevented a tragedy by detecting and defusing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted in Hydepora area of state’s summer capital, Srinagar.
An official told KNS that an IED weighing 5kgs, planted in a rice cooker, was detected by police near a flyover at Hyderpora in Srinagar in the wee hours of this morning.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“The IED planted on roadside in the area was destroyed by a bomb squad,” he said. (KNS)
