Police organises free medical camp in Ganderbal

 Ganderbal October 09 (KNS):  Police in Kulgam today organised a free medical health camp at Chattergul Kangan. The Medical camp was organized on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar-IPS in the Supervision of SDPO Kangan Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS, under the Civic Action Program (CAP) of J&K Police.

The main motive of the medical camp was to provide basic as well as specialist health care facilities to the downtrodden people of far-flung areas of Chattergul, Goripora, Mangam, Chattergul Babarishi, Brindari, Gassal, Shouldari of district Ganderbal.

 

Dr. Arif Ahmad MD Medicine, Dr. Neelofar Physician Specialist, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Medical Officer, Dr. Darakshan Lady Medical Officer, Pharmacists Mr. Bashir Ahmad & Mr. Mehraj-ud-Din from Medical Block Kangan examined the vast number of patients. During the camp quality medicines were distributed to the locals on free of cost.

SSP Ganderbal  Nikhil Borkar-IPS in his address laid stress on importance of Physical and Mental Health for all. He also appraised about importance of Hygiene and other preventive Health care measures in one’s life that can help a person in maintaining a healthy life style. He advised the Youth to refrain from taking illicit drugs. He also assured that more such medical camps will be organised in future.

General public of the area hailed the initiative and were satisfied with the services provided by the District Police Ganderbal. The Medical Health Camp was also attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, other officers of Police & Civil administration.(KNS)
