Semifinal matches of Volleyball Tournament played in Sopore

Handwara December 09 (KNS): Police in Handwara, under Civic Action Program inaugurated Martyr PSI Arshid Ashraf Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament at Bakiakher Sports Ground Handwara. Moreover, Semifinal matches of Volley Ball Tournament played in Sopore.


In the cricket tournament, 16 cricket Teams/Clubs belonging to different areas of the Police District Handwara will participate. The inaugural match of the tournament was played between Galoora-11 and Bakiakher-11 which was won by Galoora-11.

SSP Handwara appreciated & wished good luck to both the teams for playing the inauguration match of the tournament. He also stressed upon the young & budding players to allow their minds to explore their own thoughts and imagination through the medium of sports. Further, he asked the players to show good sportsmanship, discipline as well as good behaviour towards each other.

Similarly, Volleyball Tournament which is being played in Sopore entered into final stage. Two semifinal matches were played today between Khahmoh Sports and All Sangrama Volleyball Club which was won by Sangrama Vollyball Club, Aqib Zahoor was declared man of the match and Spiker Punch Seer vs Putkha Spartans which was won by Spiker Punch Seer by 2:0, Sakhawat Majeed was declared man of the match. Final match between Spiker Punch Seer and Sangrama Volleyball Club shall be played at the same venue and the date will be announced soon.(KNS)
