Resistance leadership can't be mute spectators: Moulana Tari

Expressing strong resentment over the highhandedness and reign of terror unleashed by police upon people of Khadwani, Kulgam and Pulwama areas of south Kashmir, the Freedom Party Secretary General Moulana Muhammad Abdullah Tari Wednesday asserted that the resistance leadership of Jammu Kashmir can't maintain silence over the atrocities being inflicted upon the people. He said the leadership, as routine, will stand shoulder by shoulder with people against the oppression.
In a statement to KNS, Tari while terming the people's reaction in the form of protests as justified said no dignified nation can tolerate the harassment of its women folk at any cost. "Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed such kind of harassments very often by the hands of Indian occupational forces."Saluting the courage of people of Pulwama, Moulana Tari said any kind of harassment to our women folk is intolerable and the people of Kashmir are ready to give their lives for the protection of the honor and dignity of their mothers and sisters.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Terming the police hooliganism, arrests of youth, nocturnal raids, vandalizing of properties of public as inhuman acts, Tari warned police that "ultimately, you (police) have to live and die with your own people over which you flex your muscles on the behest of occupational powers."He demanded immediate release of all those arrested.
Meanwhile, the Freedom Party has expressed deep grief over the sad demises of mother of its activist Muhammad Aslam (Pakherpora) and also of sister of Masood Ahmad Boda of Islamabad. The party expressed condolence with the bereaved families and prayed for heavenly abode for the deceased.In this connection, on the directions of party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah, a delegation including Er Farooq Ahmad Khan, Manzoor Ahmad Janbaz and Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh visited the residence of Masood Ahmad Boda and another delegation led by Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi and Ghulam Muhammad Maqdam visited the bereaved family of Muhammad Aslam.
