Srinagar, Feb 10 (KNS): Police Wednesday foiled the protest rally of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) activists and detained scores of them when they tried to march towards the commercial hub Lal Chowk.
Led by Noor Muhammad Kalwal, took out a protest march from Sarai Bala area of Srinagar to demand mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru who were secretly hanged and buried inside Tihar Jail in New Delhi.

Later, police deployed in the area swung into action, intercepting the protesters. They were later detained and lodged in Kothi Bagh police station.
JKLF, chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for a protest in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar, while the authorities had sealed all the exit and entry points of the area. (KNS)
