Srinagar, Feb 26 (KNS): Police on Friday foiled the UNO march of Hurriyat (G) activists led by Democratic Political Movement’s (DPM) chief coordinator, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat and detained scores of its activists.
As soon as the Friday congregation ended in Haji Masjid Maisuma, the activists of Hurriyat (G) tried to march towards UNO against what they termed as “harassment of JNU students”.

The activists while staging protest were chanting slogans and were holding banners displaying ‘Release the students of JNU’.
Yaar Muhammad Khan, spokesman of DPM told KNS that as soon as the party activists tried to march towards UNO, police intercepted them and detained scores of party activists including Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, Muhammad Imran, Bashir Parray, Lateef Ahmad and Fayaz Ahmad Ganaie. (KNS)
