Srinagar 01 June (KNS): Police along with officers from Revenue and Excise Departments destroyed poppy cultivation in village panjran, nownagri, and rakh areas of tehsil litter, said police officials on Tuesday. 

As per police statement, SDPO Litter Furqaan qadri, SHO Litter Hafeez Choudary along with officers from Revenue and Excise departments destroyed poppy cultivation spread over more than 10 kanals of land in shahoora area of pulwama.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding the cultivation of contraband in their neighbourhood,” said the police.  

Persons found indulging in drug peddling and cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law, police warned. (KNS)
